Susie Love

Susie attended the University of Kent before returning to her native Cheshire to manage the Crafts Council- selected 'South Manchester Gallery' with her mother, Audrey Love, who established the Gallery in 1983.

During this time Susie began creating large 'mixed media' painting and collage pieces, using pastels and watercolour, together with fabrics and metallic finishes. There is particular emphasis on the magical effects of light, both natural and artificial, on rooms and their contents. The frame and front are an integral part of the piece and are decorated for added depth. In 1989 after moving to Northampton, Susie continued to paint while staging exhibitions for other artists and craftspeople, as well as exhibiting at several galleries in the North West and Midlands.
