Paul has been designing in glass for over 17 years. He studied design and glassmaking at North Staffordshire Polytechnic, graduating in 1982.

Paul has worked for various glassmakers including Stuart Crystal. He has lectured in this country, the British Overseas Trade Mission to Japan and been a guest lecturer at Tokyo Glass Institute in Kawasaki.
In 1987 Paul set up Hothouse Glass in partnership with a local glassmaker. The company earned both national and international recognition with their innovative and individual designs. Paul presented Prince Charles and Princess Diana with a piece of his work in the late 1980's.
